I think most males get/go through a period of having a bad back as they get older. Kinda like a rite of passage. At the minute my pain is on my lower right hand side and it takes me a good 2 minutes to get out of bed in the morning. I'm a big believer in stretching, i'm also a big procrastinator so they don't match some times.
Anyone else share my pain?

Never had it. Might experience later in life I guess.
I spend most of my working days standing up.

Well, you've got a kidney on both sides and your liver is on the right. These don't happen to coincide after a night of stout, do they?

I just bought one of those adjustable table yokes that you can use while sitting on your couch. Hopefully that will work. Also i started stretching my hamstrings which improved my back no ends.

I've always had a dodgy back, ever since I fell off the shed roof as a kid.

not my back so much. no real pinpoints or pain. every few days I have trouble getting my motor-boat started. something as simple as standing up or swinging the legs out of the car door can actually take some preparation. Psych myself up, take a deep breath, do the simple thing that I used to do without thinking.
I've learned to stop and smell the simple body functions. er, so to speak.
