Were you a fan of his shows. If i'm being honest i was only really a big thunderbirds fan. I don't mind scarlet, stingray and joe90, but it might just be thunderbirds was enough for me and the novelty rubbed off when i watched his other shows.
You?

"Stingray" was probably my first. I remember it. I watched it and I certainly had some of it's merchandise. "Thunderbirds" was a whole other thing. just the opening title sequence of "Thunderbirds" was so exciting to me that I'm suprised I didn't shit my pants!
My Grandma was cool and would let me watch anything I wanted. I remember her pointing out that they were marionettes. I didn't know what she was talking about. Lady Penelope a puppet? get out of town! I was a "Star Trek" geek so when "Space:1999" was being hyped I was VERY excited. imagine my let-down to find out that the effects were no better than "Thunderbirds" but the acting inferior to puppets. I watched a GA doc. but it seemed way too Fan-boy. it was fun seeing footage from shows I missed as a kid but I guess that stuff has to hit you while your sense of wonder hasn't flickered out yet. I like that weird underwater effect they use on "Stingray". growing up and getting shit-faced drunk feels a lot like that.

I never warmed to Thunderbirds for some reason, though it of course looks fabulous. Maybe it was too much of a '60s icon, or maybe it was too much about the vehicles and machinery. I'm not sure and I probably should give it another chance...
But I recently took a chance on a couple others, and they were just great. Supercar has really believable characters who are actually smart and understanding (as opposed to prevailing TV wisdom to make the characters dumber than the viewers and make every scenario spottable from a mile away) -- and kind to each other. Great show, very enjoyable, and since it's in B&W, even though there's a fair bit about the technology, it doesn't overtake the show.
Joe 90 is also pretty good. It's nice that it's the kid who's the hero. But it's never cloying with that, just a bit special. I like their half-timbered house and all the sets and landscapes. One of the commentary tracks, Gerry said he never had dreams of working with puppets. He wanted to be a film director, "like Steven Spielberg!" You know, making big live-action stories. But the opportunity came along to do a puppet show and he took it, and got into it. But he still never especially liked puppets, which explains why he seemed to spend more time on getting the sets and vehicles right.
But my favorite has been Four Feather Falls. Great B&W cowboy show with a good heart -- Tex Tucker always upholds right, plus he has magic guns so that helps a bit -- and it's clear who's good and who's evil. But the talking horse and dog (Rocky and Dusty) are the funniest duo ever. Sounds silly, but they're just fantastic.
