February has seen a bit of an improvement, but I'm still having issues with my equipment (oo-er, missus) as well as my general wellbeing, so...anyway, here we go, two three four In MemoriamThe great new British tradition of honouring the dead by buying a bunch of cheap and tawdry supermarket flowers and leaving them to rot in public places. New ViewAfter two years work, the Coal Orchard development is open to the public. Later in the month, after the freezing weather returned to fuurther devastate my garden and spirits, I slipped and fell on black ice at this very spot. Still haven't fully recovered Two BridgesWherever I've lived for any length of time, I always developed a habit for revisiting a particular scene. February 2023 part one A month of cold grey days and a down and depressed state of mind, allied to - until I replaced it with one with a lower spec- a malfunctioning camera made for a not so vintage month. I took well over 200 shots, but many were the result of my trying to express my lowness of spirits and general disgust, and, while I generally succeeded in capturing my mood, I feel no great need to share them (although a few will creep in, I suspect). Anyway, on the first, we got up on the Quantocks for the first time in a while. Few photos taken because of the low light and temperatures, just one worth a look Beech ReadyAnd when the sun came out, four days later, nothing to see but stillness and desiccation Broken ReedsAnd then I found some vibrancy and colour CrocusWitch HazelContemplationThree Buddahs...

I always enjoy your pictures.
The ones with reflections/refractions always stand out, like a common thread to some of your work.
