The iPlayer has an absolute shitload of great things. It's overwhelming. That's probably why I don't bother with it too much.
But 'appointment television' is in its death throes. You might find a couple of hours a week worth watching live.

I find myself permanently an on demand viewer these days. As you say the choice is overwhelming.

it's too much for me to handle. I feel like Jeremy Renner at the end of the Hurt Locker shutting down at the sight of all the cereal boxes.

I watched the Caroline Aherne thing on the Beeb. She was such a gem.

A word to the wise. Boudica , currently showing on Netflix is beyond awful. Watch our great Queen go shopping in the mall, living in a stone and fur designer home.
The assortment of accents and characters is bewildering. She also has a magic sword, drinks from a skull, and tells Romans to fuck off. I doubt even Dino de Laurentis would have stooped so low .
Utter trash.

the episode "spoons" of the Bear is worth watching more than once IMO.

Don't really understand what the fuss is about. Only two episodes in, mind.

it grabbed me right away but really kicked up a notch when they catered Uncle What's His Face's Kid's birthday party.

Yeah, by the time I got to the end of season one, I was ready to binge. By the time I got to mid-season two, I was bingeing. By the time I got to the end of seasons two, I was sad to be waiting for more. Which is where I remain.

I thought they'd already made far too many shows, but the Hogmanay Gone Fishing special was a total joy from beginning to end. Highly recommended if you have access to the iPlayer.

Watched Mr Bates v Post Office, all four parts. Everything that is morally corrupt about modern Britain is right there. Compulsive and necessary viewing.

Watched Mr Bates v Post Office, all four parts. Everything that is morally corrupt about modern Britain is right there. Compulsive and necessary viewing. I watched the first episode last night, I'm pretty sure I'll get through the rest in no time. It's a genuine absolute scandal how this went on for so long, and for how long the PO refused to accept there was anything wrong. .

I don't know why fishy but the P/O scandal really boils my piss. The fact it is still going on is a fucking disgrace.
