I had thought that Thom Yorke had nothing left to offer, but this is currently on heavy rotation at Neigemont Castle, pushing all the right buttons! Simply lovely.

I like it. I get a real Wyatt/Solo vibe from that.

The first one I think does a great job creating a strong mood - you need to stick with it, it builds, it's haunting. It's mostly about the piano (sound and chords). It's actually something I want to listen to regularly - and I really can't say that for much contemporary music. Maybe best to ignore the gurning goon in the video The second one...I didn't even know it was The Smile after hearing it a few times on 6 Music recently. There's something appealingly 'New Wave' about it - it doesn't try too hard to be liked, they're doing their own thing, it takes some unexpected turns.

Yorke's voice is a dealbreaker for me. I sometimes wonder if I spent more time with it if it might grow on me, but so far no dice. I do like the music these guys are making, and melodically things are right up my alley, but that voice... like nails on a chalkboard to my ears.
