The American Bully breed I referred to earlier has been specifically bred to be a fighting dog and to be as aggressive and strong as possible - no other purpose, but a pure fighting machine. This is absolutely untrue. Apart from the news. I know little to nothing about them. What's the story.

This is absolutely untrue. Apart from the news. I know little to nothing about them. What's the story. They were bred as "companion animals". Pets. All dogs can be dangerous - look at chihuahuas, they can be absolutely mental and vicious - but with proper training any dog can be well behaved especially if they've been trained from a young age. The bully dogs G has mentioned do require more training than some people are willing to put in and that's where the aggression comes from. Dogs get triggered by certain things and it's up to responsible owners to determine those triggers and and treat the behaviour accordingly. It's a LOT of work. Some people are LAZY.

Some people are LAZY. people aren't getting regularly maimed and killed by chihuahuas. i would suggest the aggression comes from deliberately choosing the two strongest and most vicious breeds to cross breed which suggests to me the intention was less to produce a 'companion' dog and more to produce the ultimate aggressive, powerful fighting dog. And,sadly, they succeeded.

Ok.
I don't feel like repeating myself and you're focused on the breed characteristics, so I'm not going to go any further with this.
