The best Aussie band of the 60s ( yes, they were better than The Easybeats), they had a tough but melodic sound with a strong psych twinge, a bit like 60s Status Quo. Four for you to deliberate on.
'Elevator Driver'
'War or Hands of Time'
'Living In a Child's Dream'
'Buried and Dead'

All wonderful slices of 60s rock, for me, but of course you'd know that G - I've been trying to big-up this group on here and BCB for years! preludin.proboards.com/thread/4820/5-masters-apprenticesMick Bower was their secret weapon in those early years and records, a very talented and creative writer but one whose personal issues sadly forced him to withdraw from public/musical life way too soon. Luckily we can enjoy the songs here forever. 'Wars' is the most magical for me, but they all rule.

It's almost a carbon copy of your thread Ange, so apologies for that. I went for Elevator Driver. What happened to Mick Bower?

A bit in the Syd Barrett mould, G, he was a "rock and roll casualty"; a sensitive type of guy who starts out playing music with his friends, a way of expressing himself and living a bit of an adventure, but then can't deal with the pressures and realities placed on an up-and-coming band being asked to start touring, writing and selling yourself relentlessly.
