The font is now actually called Gilligan's Island. You can get it off a site called dafont.com.

There's a fine line. Some of the most bubble-shaped stuff is horrible. That one I think is OK. It's weird how evocative just a few letters can be. I often get quite excited by old signs, credit sequences. Look at this!  PURE SEX |

I've always loved that 50s style of graphics and that kind of font with its jazzy angularity is part of that. Like this sort of thing...  |

I usually use Cambria for longer texts. Calibri or Gill Sans for a sans-serif.
Or anything other than Arial, really. I used to work for a council that used it on everything and it bores my mind just to look at it now.

But I really love Baskerville Old Face. I just couldn't remember the name of it. I did art and craft A level, the craft being calligraphy. As part of it, I hand drew a large capital B of BOF. Really elegant, quite beautiful. I studied it from the Letraset catalogue, which you can't find for love nor money now. I may still have mine somewhere or it may have been thrown out.    |
