Is that a vanity plate on that car?
There are some that refer to Toronto as “The 6” (or even more horribly, The 6ix) based on the telephone area code (I think Drake popularized it), and I personally don’t use that expression but that’s what that license plate made me think of.

It's an actual licence number I think - that was the format in the 1950s - two or three letters (based on area registered) and up to four numbers (no more than six in total) with a space between the letters and numbers. [/nerd]
I reckon that picture was taken around 1960, somewhere in the north, or maybe North Midlands. I love it

Probably been used before, but it's a good un I've seen something similar, but in monochrome. I found this interesting: 'Coronation Street star, Ena Sharples (Violet Carson)' - I thought that the convention in naming a 'star' would the actress with the character she played in brackets, rather than the other way round, but such was the hold that Corrie had on the popular imagination in the early 1960s that the characters were household names, while those who played them - mostly theatrical thesps/'unknowns' from the north of England - weren't.

^ Reminds me of Tati's PlayTime, which I coincidentally have playing in the store now...

Not that old, judging by the vehicles and satellite dish. Still, a good looking photo.
