Yeah, they have enough movement in the final third as it is, they're not crying out for an extra pass there. They'd probably benefit from a Xabi Alonso directing from deep but most teams in the world could say the same. I can see TAA performing that role for them at some point in the future. I'd be surprised if they don't at least experiment with it over the next few seasons.

Klopp is a special coach. If he has a weakness then I don't know what it is. As long as he's there they will be dominant. You can't really praise him enough. Klopp for PM!

I think the chances of getting games under players belts to qualify for a prem medal will dictate liverpool line ups for the rest of the season.

So that's it for Latics. Four weeks after the EFL give our new owners the green light to take over the club, passing their "fit and proper" owners' tests, we've gone into administration. Apparently due to the unexpected lockdown that no-one noticed, which must only have happened in the last couple of weeks.
Just got 8 points clear of safety too, with the best run of form of all the teams in the Championship. Ever get the feeling you've been cheated?

Think Eddie and Bournemouth have run their natural course after this season. Unless they up his budget, i can't see him improving them as much as he has.

That take over looks pretty dodgy reading through the wires. The new and old owners are linked and an interest free loan was converted to 8%? Dunno if you have more info. The EFL are fucking useless.
Either way, I wouldn't be surprised if we were to closely follow, and a dozen more others. And to be honest if it's a choice between spending seasons in the third flight or worse in a three quarters empty stadium after our shysters have stripped what's left of our academy infrastructure, or having a bash against the colliery welfare teams in the Northern League ... *shrugs*.

I think the possible European ban will somewhat dictate if man city win challenge for the title next week. If they lose the appeal, will they lose some of their best players and will they be able to sign quality players? The need a new back 4 at least.

Good thread on what has happened at Wigan I was going to post that here last night, but then had a bottle of wine. Ridiculously dodgy, yet the club is hit with relegation, and the efl and owners can seemingly walk away scot-free.

Presumably as it was the same individuals in the second takeover they didn't need a second "fit and proper person" [sic] test.
It would be funny if you stayed up regardless. It's possible.

That's our best hope, really, though Andy Burnham and Lisa Nandy have written to the efl asking for suspension of the points penalty and an investigation. Pity there aren't more games left, I'd be more confident with two or three more games to play.
