A is more odd than funny, but as always she expands the boundaries for where humor can be found. She's just about my favorite modern standup artist, as those I like usually fall into either the "confessional" or "surreal" buckets, and she's solidly in both camps. Not her best bit, but in a world of "she went there!," she manages to go somewhere nobody else does.
B is amusing, and I guess it's a lowbrow version of Rankin Bass, but it's pretty one-note by comparison.
I'm really struggling here. A was almost bizarre in how intrinsically unhumorous it was. Amazing it even made it to stage. B was a bit more conventionally humorous, albeit in a childish and rather obvious way.
A seemed to have canned laughter, was there actually an audience there? Pretty terrible as far as stand-up goes, but if she's just direct to camera, that's partly the excuse. The only line I liked was about sending a box of wigs, which was a bit odd.
Unfortunately, B was just cack. A rubbish animated Viz strip, without any of Viz's wit.
