That's spooky, just yesterday I watched the story behind SBMWS on youtube
I didn't like it as much as I remembered it but that's because I'm even less keen on 80s stuff than I was at the time ('Airhead' I think was my favourite Thomas Dobly song at the time.)
I didn't like SD then and I can't abide it's clunky, swaggery sound and dreadful video now.

I love SBMWS - such an improbable, never ending series of hooks. I've also been devouring that series of little mini documentaries - just discovered it.

Dolby all the way for me: was pretty keen on him, bought albums and singles. This single was not a particular favourite, but MWH's single I very soon tired of, especially the video.

Dolby's video is clearly superior. Seeing Magnus Pyke swinging his arms around and eyeing up 'sexy secretaries' is great fun.
I still think 'The Safety Dance' is marginally better as a song - especially THAT BIT

7-inch single version of SD for me. SBMWS is fine, though.
