Even if it raises the ire of our fearless leader/admin, today is national hot sauce day. Depending on my mood, I vary between these too. Or this. . . I've kinda laid off Sriracha

I'm not a fan of Sriracha. This is my go-to these days:

I'm not a fan of Sriracha. This is my go-to these days: That's good, but I kinda OD'd on it. I use to put that on/in lots of food.

I like that one too.
The Louisiana ‘Red Dot’ range all tastes too similar to my buds. I got a six-pack in NO a couple of years ago, and apart from the chipotle and habanero variations they were hard work.
‘Bumfire Night’, from the uk is my current fave. Can’t post pics yet, so google if you’re remotely bothered. It’s a fiery BBQ sauce.

I got this set for Christmas: It's one of the better chilli sets I've had, the sauces aren't particularly vinegary in any way, you get a lot of the flavour of the actual peppers coming through. The ghost chilli & scorpion pepper sauces are absolutely lethal in anything other than small doses, but I measure them out onto a knife blade before adding to anything, to be ultra-careful, and you really get the flavour as well as the heat.

Have any of you watched "Hot Ones", a YouTube show where celebrities get interviewed while eating increasingly spicy chicken wings? The few episodes I've sen are kinda fun, and the host asks pretty good questions.

My dad is a hot sauce guy. My sister got him a bottle of this from the Easter Show, it has a 15/10 heat rating allegedly. I dipped my finger around the edge of the bottle, and not only did it blow my head off, my finger stung for about 4 hours. And I'm a guy that can handle heat!

I like Crystal better than Frank's, although they have the greatest slogan of all time: I put that SH*T on everything. And I like Tapatio better than Cholula or Valentino for Mexican hot sauce. Not as much vinegar as in Louisiana hot sauce.

I love habanero sauces the best, and preferably without much vinegar.

I’m a big fan, the hotter the better but not the stupid hot extract sauces. CaJohns do a couple of really good ones: smokin Ed’s Carolina reaper and el Chupacabra. The Spanish hate spicy food so there’s not much available here. My go tos are Tabasco habanero and suree extra hot sriracha. I was surprised that Carolina reapers were available in Tesco when I was over in the uk last year. They’re absolutely lethal!

I love habanero sauces the best, and preferably without much vinegar. I make a pretty decent habañero hot sauce to go on certain tacos and the like (especially for cochinita pibil) - get about a dozen habaneros, break the stems off, slice them in half, and throw them on a baking sheet with four or five peeled garlic gloves, and stick it under the broiler until you get a few black spots (maybe a minute or two). Throw it all in a blender with a couple tablespoons of lime juice, about 1/4 cup water, and maybe a 1/2 tsp or so of salt, and voilà!
