No Prog goons I'm guessing?
I'm loyal to BCB. I don't know why - I've spent nearly two bloody decades procrastinating on Mojo and then BCB. I don't really go to Jolly Ups anymore, I don't really have any inclination to talk much about music and I think the only thing I enjoy is winding people up on political threads.
It's the sort of thing where you're in a marriage and the grass always seems greener.

The board I was on before BCB (along with loki, pcqgod, algroth, Darkness Fish, driftin and thers wh have since left BCB) was formed by people wanting to escape various trolls, lunatics and opinionated kiddies on the imdb notice boards. Joining was invitation only. It came to be known as The Refuge, but it wasn't so much people cowering in fear of Beware the Hippiedrill so much as a cutting out of white noise.
I imagine something similar here, except with tedious prog goons instead of over-exciteable heavy metal kids, and Danes bearing gifs instead of loonies.

Music talk on BCB is dead - I probably don't need to point that out. Occasionally you'll get a little flurry of activity but it doesn't take long until it's back to its normal state - which is dreary. Boards like BCB only thrive when people regularly start threads - and that's simply not happening. I don't expect this place to be a rip-roaring success, by the way. I just think it's worth a shot. It might die a death within a week. If that happens then I won't have lost anything (well, maybe just a tiny bit of pride!). Give it a go anyway. Invite people, start threads. Or fuck off  |

The death of the Jolly Up is the biggest issue I have with BCB. I'm loyal to it because I've made so many friends there. Actually the more interesting it gets, the more of a time suck it becomes. So right now it's perfect. Seriously, though- I wasn't completely joking with my first post. |

I'm still kinda getting used to the place here. It's not like response to posts was overwhelming at BCB, but 2-3 hours between any interaction is kinda slow.
Hopefully, it starts building.
