The look on Harry’s face.
“Kill me, kill me now”
I almost feel sorry for him.

Julie's still got the moves, then, even if she's not a hip young gunslinger any more.
And if she's 'right' in her thesis, then more power to them, I say: not because I'm a Republican, or indeed a liberal, because I'm neither, but because the aesthetics are right.

I think the irony is that these pair of roasters are so bad they actually turn people into royalists.
Burchill still entertains

I think Clarkson's a bit like Morrissey. His glory days are long behind him but he still craves attention - occasionally, at least - so when he's bored he'll act like a prick (he'll no doubt see it as 'throwing caution to the wind') and write something that he knows will create a fuss. He's lucky he still has a platform in 2022 because he's a worthless cunt (always was, really).
The piece isn't even mildly amusing or vaguely thought-provoking. It's just the self-indulgent dribbling of a wanker. It probably doesn't even reflect his own views, but to stir the pot further he'll add some 'outrageous' claim like 'all men I know feel the same way'. It's predictable and it's tedious and...I really shouldn't have even posted the link, I know.

He’s a tool. He always has been.
I’ve yet to meet anyone who has a strong opinion on the two renegades

I'm sure the £112 million is a salve to them.

It only creates a fuss because there is a group of people who actively want to be outraged by this stuff and who project their own ideas onto such comments. It's like a weird kind of social media induced neuroticism used as evidence of what these people are "fighting" against. It's like an addiction.
The thing is, if it was some columnist spewing vitriol against any number of agreed targets - some Tory politician, Elon Musk or whatever - many of the same people who are get outraged by this would turn a complete blind eye or actively applaud/laugh.
Clarkson has attracted the ire of these people for years so he's one of these agreed targets. I don't mind him actually but then I liked Top Gear.

Do people actually sit around talking about them though? This thread isn’t about ‘them’ so much as the media brouhaha around them.
