It seems to be. We had one news outlet here yesterday which wrote that people were "forced to get" the Moderna vaccine because a shipment of Pfizer had been delayed, like they had been downgraded from first-class to coach. This kind of BS gets into peoples' heads and starts them thinking that they should hold out for something better, when they should just be taking whatever's available to get to herd immunity. It blows my mind that there are countries where practically no one has been vaccinated, and here we are complaining that the pomegranate spritz flavour isn't available.

It blows my mind that there are countries where practically no one has been vaccinated, and here we are complaining that the pomegranate spritz flavour isn't available. In Australia practically no one has been vaccinated for precisely this reason, fucking vaccine envy. "I'm waiting for the Pfizer" "I want the vaccine the PM had" "they only got AZ because all the politicians have shares in it". All from seemingly progressive, usually middle aged women who are clearly well to do enough thay they don't care if we go into lockdown every 6 weeks for the rest of their lives if necessary. The same people who absolutely shit the bed at the idea of pubs opening when we had basically zero community transmission because they didn't like those sorts of peasant places. I'm meant to go to NZ in a month, who are also pursuing the zero covid philosophy, and I have to sweat for 4 weeks and hope this current outbreak of ELEVEN (11) cases isn't going to burst our travel bubble. And we can't get vaccinated quickly enough because people aren't getting the jab to own the conservatives. Fuck me dead.

I got my first vaccine 2 weeks ago. Felt like shite after it, kinda not looking forward to the next one if i'm gonna feel like that again.

Full on flu-like symptoms, fever dreams, cold sweats, the job lot. Had my second jab yesterday, and I've only got a vaguely sore arm.

sick of this tory government. absolute hypocrites.
how hancock has the nerve to brazen this out is beyond belief.
johnson is an absolute twerp.
i'm amazed there hasn't been riots on the streets.
meanwhile, here in spain it's no longer required to wear a mask in outside spaces. let's see how this pans out...
