But you're just digging around to find something that offers a right-wing viewpoint rather than saying what YOU YOURSELF think.
I mean, anyone can post a link. Nobody here (apart from Toby maybe) is going to read something from Unherd or any of those sites.

For the record I was in favour of the first lockdown at the time and although I am more sceptical now I am not convinced some kind of lockdown/restrictions weren’t justified given the impact on the NHS. I didn’t support the 2nd one though and watching Sweden at the time I started to think we’d gone completely ott and should have explored other avenues.
We torched our economy and have experienced huge economic fall out as a consequence which we are still dealing with. We surrendered our personal freedoms in the pursuit of “safety” in a way that makes me very uncomfortable. Mask mandates were bollocks. The hatred and prejudice against those who refused the vaccine combined with restrictions on their freedoms was shameful and wrong. Recent increases in excess deaths need to be understood and make for grim reading The negative side effects of the vaccines is something that needs to be explored more

Nobody here (apart from Toby maybe) is going to read something from Unherd or any of those sites. How is it a right wing view? Sweden didn't go down that route....are they are right wing country? I get notifications from Unherd because it's a good website with interesting pov and opinions from across the political spectrum. One notification came into my inbox this lunchtime, I read the article so I decided to post it here, that's all. The fact that you instantly dismiss Unherd because you believe it doesn't quite chime with your worldview - there is more variety than you realise - is part of your problem. You did the same when I posted that link from Guido Fawkes even though the actual contents were from the BBC itself confirming the Guardian story was bogus.

It's a right-leaning journal. I expected that before checking, but in fact UnHerd was founded in 2017 by conservative British political activist Tim Montgomerie, who also acted as editor. Following Montgomerie's departure in September 2018, journalist Sally Chatterton, who previously wrote for The Daily Telegraph and The Independent, took over as editor.
In March 2020, UnHerd launched a YouTube channel named LockdownTV, taking its name from the lockdowns implemented around the same time period. The channel posts interviews conducted by Sayers.en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/UnHerd

You reminded me of Toby Young's blog - which apparently has changed its name from Lockdown Sceptics to The Daily Scepticen.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Daily_Scepticalthough, fair enough, it looks like UnHerd doesn't have such a clear-cut agenda. I'm just suspicious of anything that is set up to promote a single idea (which is basically what TY is doing) for what I think are obvious reasons. It might not always look like they're trying to force their ideas down your throat, but they don't exactly exist to promote debate. If anything, they're trying to convert people. Of course it's good to read different points of view, but you don't get them - not really - on most sites or even most so-called independent news channels or newspapers.

I've gone off Ash since she started popping up regularly on Jeremy Vine's show.
But that first QT appearance was an absolute triumph. She was AWESOME

The Government caved into public pressure, which was amplified enormously by the media. No it caved, if you want to use that phrase, from the scientific and medical specialist advice from experts. People who have been studying this stuff at a very high level for most of their lives. So I think I'd put rather more credibility on them than you. That's me out of this debate, others can indulge him if they choose.

She's actually unpleasant. Poor Ash was on Twitter the other day trying to claim that "trad wives" are white supremacists or something. I mean you still would, hell, I TOTALLY would but only so I could punish the poor misguided simpleton with a damn good right wing rogering. Woof!

Excuse me if I'm wrong, but the Government tried to implement a herd immunity policy from the very beginning. A week later, they did a U-turn due to significant pressure from the public and some "experts" worrying that it wouldn't work. www.theguardian.com/world/2020/mar/13/herd-immunity-will-the-uks-coronavirus-strategy-workThe issue, deep down, is that there were no "experts". The experts turned out to have little to no knowledge because their entire premise was based on modelling, much of which was seriously off-kilter. Neil Ferguson, who for some strange reason was still in charge of modelling for these things despite a total disaster from him on predicting foot and mouth in 2001, has had his reputation shot down in flames because of this farrago. Now, I'm not saying we shouldn't have experts, but the simple observable fact is that when it comes to Pandemics, lockdowns don't work. The evidence from China, New Zealand and many other countries is that the harder you lockdown, the more damage you are going to get later on. You cannot seal a country off from a disease.
