Far be it for me to deny others the pleasure of the occasional spliff, but surely you can lay off it while you urinate? Not even Rayge does that. Not every time, maybe.

My brother has to self-isolate for 12 weeks. In a 2nd floor flat. In Sydenham, South London.
It's going to take a toll on him.

UK not even trying to contain it. "Simply trying to delay the spread".

All non-essential businesses in Ontario have been ordered to close for at least two weeks. I guess I'm on vacation.

My brother in Liverpool & his family could likely have it, he's been exposed to a positive case and he's been feeling very rough since last week. He's still waiting to be tested. My other brother medicates for asthma so he needs to be careful. I'm mildly asthmatic but I haven't needed medication since childhood. This is on top of my parents and grandparent all being more or less in the at risk crosshairs. So, it's coming close to home now.

Gary Gibbon doing an excellent job not letting Matt Hancock get away with anything on C4 News right now. Proper attack dog journalism.

They (the government) need to get the testing sorted.

He's 43. I'm the youngest sibling by quite a margin. I'm not sure where he picked it up (if he has) but he was teaching in a college so he would have been reasonably exposed.
I think generally that they faffed about with the nudging and behavioural science for too long, people needed clear guidlines.

I keep meaning to watch C4 news more. Five Live has been very good as well.

Well again, I hope he comes out unscathed. I was thinking more about the (immediate) future when I said about testing. It seems to be a pretty basic element of dealing with the situation. Boris is making an announcement in 10 minutes. I can't bring myself to watch him. I'll wait for the BBC precis.

It's basically a lockdown. Not unexpected I suppose.

Be interesting to see police on the streets - 'where are you going, sir?' 'to the supermarket' 'didn't I see you going there yesterday?' 'yes but that was only to get some chocolate' etc. etc.
