They are all equally good at conveying maple syrup to my tastebuds, but French toast holds a special place in my heart.

They are all equally good at conveying maple syrup to my tastebuds, but French toast holds a special place in my heart. On weekends growing up, my mom who's Swedish would make Swedish pancakes or French toast. Sometimes, my dad, who fancied himself a cook, would make waffles, but he was the messiest chef in the world and it was hell having to clean up after he was done, which was my brother and my job. But my mom's French Toast was a work of art. And her Swedish pancakes were nothing to sneeze at.

Most frequently, I'll go for the short stack, BUT...French Toast definitely goes that extra mile.
The toaster Eggos my kids eat first thing every morning - probably responsible for some new strain of ADHD.

We were probably terrible parents for letting them eat that crap.

Yep. You definitely start to wonder if you're sowing the seeds of some future race of mutants.

I made pancakes from scratch this weekend, and they're waaaay better than pancakes from a storebought mix. French toast still wins, though.

Yeah, they're all pretty great when made well.
I think the most likely to be error-free is the waffle, since the iron does most of the work. So that's my choice. Although I won't refuse any.
Pure Vermont maple syrup also makes a big difference.

They look great, but - do people really bother fucking around with all that, first thing in the morning?
