1. Do you like the name Dougie?
2. For how many years have you lived in the city/town where you currently reside?
3. If money were no object, is there any other place you’d dream of living?
4. Cats or dogs?
5. Curry tonight - what will you order? Sides, apps, drinks, mains, the lot.
6. John or Paul?
7. You recently had dinner with John Coan. What’s the deal with that guy?
8. Any unfulfilled ambitions?
9. Go on - sing me a few bars of a Syd Barrett era Pink Floyd song. Any song will do.
10. Pick something – artist, song, album, musical style/movement – that you treasure and that you think me and your other neighbors here might possibly be missing out on/undervaluing.

I'm glad I didn't do one of these things. I enjoy listening to everyone, but mine would have lasted about two minutes.

That'd bring the average down to about 18 minutes

Something about the accent and the precision of enunciation (maybe the result of overcoming the stammer) at times reminded me irresistibly of a slightly speeded up Ivor Cutler. Which is a good thing. But after what you said about dog owners, I'm never speaking to you again.

That's a truly terrible Macca imitation. I like the Weyes Blood album, though I hate her name. She's the daughter of Sumner Mering, who led a band called Sumner that I saw a few times in the early 80s. I wondered whatever happened to him. Apparently he became a born-again Christian and has rejected his previous 'sinful' life. No wonder she's an interesting artist... With you on the cats/dogs thing. I love dogs, but they can be a bit much. They're something endearing about a creature that is so selfishly motivated deciding that affection between them and you is mutually beneficial.

That's an unexpectedly posh voice, there's something about a clear, coherent Scottish tone that makes it more engaging or authorative. I don't know if that's just because there's always a posh Scottish bastard in the government with that kind of deep tone. Very sweary though, I reckon that's a defence mechanism for the inherent middle-classness coming through.
Btw, I never new Weyes Blood was meant to be pronounced Wise Blood, either. There was a collaboration between Foetus and The Young Gods called Wiseblood, and I don't think either are much cop.
