It's time for a fight of the prettyboy 80s bond theme songs, if nothing else to lower the profile of this board. We have Duran Duran weighing in with 1985's "A View to a Kill" for Roger Moore's last bout with the role.
And we have a-Ha landing with their 1987 theme song "The Living Daylights", for the short-lived Timothy Dalton Bond.

They're both rubbish as Bond themes but as stand alone synth pop tunes I much prefer the A-Ha one. The film's better too.

Yeah "The Living Daylights" is the stronger movie but the last time I watched "A View to a Kill" I couldn't stop laughing at how bad it is. Right now I vote it for better song and film.

They're both dreadful. In fact, they could be the two worst.

I quite like the Duran Duran one. Plus the video is hilarious. Fucking state of Nick Rhodes, man, SHIT!

The Duran one is almost ace but is merely v. good - the chorus is a bit forced but the verses and bombast really work for me. I dig it. The A-ha ain’t half bad either but it was actually out-Bonded by the follow up, The BloodThat Moves The Body. More of this sort of thing!
