In the most recent Ugly Things, they have a really long interview with Johnny Blitz, drummer with the Dead Boys and Rocket from the Tombs. He admires Thomas, but you can tell he thinks he's a very difficult person to get along with.

When I bought Kamasi Washington's "The Epic" I had the same problem he did getting the vinyl out of that same black paper sleeve (at around the 1:20 mark) and it slipped out of my hand and put a huge scratch through an entire side. I wrote to the label to see if they'd consider selling me just the vinyl for the disc I'd ruined (it was a 3 lp set) but never heard back. Wishful thinking, really.

Remember last year, when Morrissey was selling copies of old albums by Lou Reed and Bowie that he'd signed for crazy prices at his gigs? I think these two were joking that DT should sign copies of (for example) Leo Sayer albums and sell them at Pere Ubu gigs. |

"cryptofans"? you know something, this thread and watching that guy has me putting more Ubu in my earholes than I have in a while. he's a unique personality and listening to those things make you realize how much of that personality he gets into his work.
