I've seen people post pics of the cover before and a BCBer once mailed me a copy of the posthumous comp "Everything is Temporary", but I found it pretty painful listening. Listening to "Rise Above" now and really enjoying it.

Yeah, I'll admit that his subsequent two albums (Sleeping Star and Change My Life) followed an arc of diminishing returns (for me, at any rate), and I never bothered with his two (TWO!) outtakes collections on that basis.

It's interesting reading the article, and I get this from Amoeba's What In Your Bag? series. The musical heroes of people like Epic Soundtracks don't really transfer into their work, unless their a rampant thief like Jeff Lynne or something.
