Beat me to it.
The statement from his family said he'd been in poor health for some time.
At least it wasn't coronavirus.
R.I.P.

They'd been touring in 2018, I saw the concert film last year, he seemed OK. Ach. I really loved the Pretty Things, they put out two of my very favourite albums. Phil was always a cool dude.

Wow, this is getting relentless: Jorge Santana(Malo) and Astrid Kirchherr also just listed as having passed.

That really sucks. On a purely selfish level, I was hoping to one day meet him and tell him just how much his music has meant to me.
Apparently Wally Waller is active on Facebook, and we have mutual friends.
Blasting Parachute over and over today.

I knew someone who ran a pub in Sidcup who knew him fairly well, he still must have been living locally. I wish I'd made the effort to meet him.

incredibly sad. one of my heroes. i was fortunate enough to meet him on several occasions. very down to earth. at a gig in a pub in tower hill, i scolded him about not wanting orchestration on 'emotions'. he was quite resolute about it. a charming man. quite candid too. told me some stories about brian jones which i'll always cherish. for me, he was king of swinging london after brian.
