I had my share! I can't wait to embarrass myself by looking over some of the bands I used to care about.

Second article and this was intro on Rory Gallagher.
Rory Gallagher knows more about playing the electric blues (that's spelled B-L-U-E-S) than all the Allman Brothers --living or dead --put to-gether.
I quit reading after that.

I liked it, but always had trouble finding it. CREEM (my favorite), Rolling Stone and most of the others could be found regularly and reliably in any 7-11 or drug store or bookstore, but Trouser Press only seemed to show up at random - three or maybe four times a year if I was lucky, and I never knew where I would find it. Never could figure that out.
Although they were decidedly anglophile, the first band I thought of right now when I saw the name Trouser Press was Flipper! They didn't do a feature on them or anything, at least not that I saw - but I did see Jello Biafra doing some "Blind Date"-type record review of recent punk 45s, one of which was Flipper's "Ha Ha Ha" - except the title was printed as "Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho Hee Hee Hee Hee Hee Hee Hee Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha". Between the band name and that title and what Jello had to say about them, I just had to check them out. Thanks, Jello! Thanks, Trouser Press!
Also there was a meeting of the minds between Devo and William Burroughs that I remember being fairly entertaining when I was 15 or whatever.

I never liked Rolling Stone. Too canonical. I can see why Matt likes them.

I thought you were a fan of Rory? He's okay. I don't really seek out his albums I have. Once in awhile I'll listen to them, but not very often. If he were alive and did an album with Kendrick Lamar, I might listen more often.
