I think I've only got one fairly obscure John Fahey album, I really should delve through his catalogue at some time.

This is a song that appeals to the more fragile part of my personality. Bush is someone I've grown to love outside the obvious. I want to write more about her music but not sure the words will come out right just now.

One of the strangest albums I own, which Steve Stapleton considers as being the first fully realised NWW album, being really his solo vision. Always remember my wife coming into the room wondering what I was doing while listening to this, she thought I was constantly scratching something against the window pane.

More out of curiosity than expectation to find something that appeals, I also looked this one up. Usually with your choices, I am just wondering who plays this? At what moments?? But, I think it's an admirable left field taste you have. I quite liked this one. Not a song in any traditional sense but rather an accompaniment when you just want to relax and let your thoughts flow. My usual choice for that is something like Garden of Eden, but this is a contender. A good length too!

My usual choice for that is something like Garden of Eden, but this is a contender. A good length too! It's not something I play that often, but it really works as either a background mood piece while working, or the kind of thing you can lay back and concentrate on, and try and follow. It's a real textured work, it plays a lot with silence, especially in the title track, almost feels like listening to some kind of avant-garde radio play with the occasional interjection of voices ("don't be naive darling!"). It's a great mix of sinister and playful, throughout. Certainly not song based, more like an audio experience. Glad you gave it a listen, I'll get you searching through the Hafler Trio back-catalogue next ;-) .

Saw a twitter thread about saddest songs, and thought ooh, that's obvious. So I started listening again, and I'm already regretting it; it's ridiculous that I sit here at my work desk quietly sobbing into my coffee.

Angels of Light and Akron/Family split CD. Angels of Light went downhill when they started using Akron/Family as the band, but A/F were still impressive at this point.

Crescent's vaguely experimental and vaguely melancholy mutterings.

I know I've probably mentioned it a few times on this thread alone, but what a great pop album.
