Well, I didn't expect Charlie to be the first person outed as a serial killer on this site.

Sonny Liston and T. E. Lawrence - were they used in the Sgt Pepper photoshoot? I had a feeling you might be the one to get it. A fun page/site (put together by a one-time BCB-er!), with a number of surprises: sgtpepperphotos.wordpress.com/2017/04/22/16/

My friend Patrick, who plays guitar in the band I'm in, used to be in a band called the Cardboard Brains, which also happens to be one of my favourite band names of all time.

Two of the surprises for me: that the Bob Dylan image was taken from the Highway 61 Revisited album cover (never occurred to me that it was the same shot... maybe I was thrown by it being in b&w); and that Hollywood weirdo Timothy Carey was part of the assemblage, though on the cover he's obscured by George's head (with Liston that makes two Pepper cover stars who went on to appear in The Monkees' movie Head!).

Wow, what a great article! I was thinking that Wallace Berman’s son Tosh (who I’ve known for many years - god, approaching 40 years now!) might have some insight - then saw his comment at the bottom. Tosh is a lovely man and a very talented writer.
And I assume Chrischrischris (who did those great Beatle mashups) is the writer?
