No choice could be easier. 'Pact' rules the fucking universe. This, pretty much.
I love X-Ray Spex, and "Identity" is an interesting song, but it isn't a great one - not by their standards. Better than "Last Night", though.

i played 'identity' over the weekend and it blew my tiny mind. hadn't heard it in years and thought it was so exciting and held up really well.
all 3 are brilliant. absolutely loved the scientists. very much a part of my 80s.
i suppose 'pact' will walk this THO'.

fraid so. too much history. I like the others but I hear that pinging sound at the beginning of "pact" and my ears start to drool like Pavlov's dogs..
or something like that.

The Scientists are just the clunkiest, dullest concept of punk, probably responsible for Eddie and the Hotrods and Boomtown Rats. On the other hand, X-Ray Spex are the epitome of the punk spirit, they had energy, excitement, and such a feeling of chaos that the song could collapse at any time. But Non-Alignment Pact is the best song here.

The Scientists are just the clunkiest, dullest concept of punk. yes, they haven't gone down well. i regret having included them in this poll.

I've surprised myself by voting for x-ray spec, didn't specially care for it at the time.its easily the best of the lot. Neither liked nor disliked the pere ubu track, I've just never got them. The scientists one is just ordinary.
