Tucker is fantastic, and a few of his late career art films (Tetro and Youth Without Youth) are pretty good.

Yeah, it's pretty dramatic. Four stone classics in the 70s, then just a dribble of third-rate stuff for 30 years or so. Kind of the McCartney of cinema. While one and two are classics the third godfather has Pacino's Grandad in the corner with his comments performance dragging us away from the quiet evil of the earlier movies. Tony Soprano and Marty moved this particular subject on in a better way.

Tucker is fantastic, and a few of his late career art films (Tetro and Youth Without Youth) are pretty good. I thought Youth without Youth was a bloated mess. I think that's the last one I've seen. I gave up on him after that. I guess we should be thankful for what he gave us, but it is strange the way his film career just fell away.
