This thread now has the makings of a Tom Hanks/Meg Ryan rom com... More like Rocky VI where they can't use gloves and have to use a music forum.

I will say this; I haven't seen an obvious winner from the lists. I think it will be the most open cup for years.

The is my first cup experience and I'm pumped to be honest. Wish I would have registered sooner so I could have played a greater role. Lots of tracks & artists have been posted that I've never heard.

Round three is provoking an existential crisis. Listened to six picks and they are all various degrees of no thanks, from the rather boring and meh down to the vile and offensive.
Maybe it's just me, although I wasn't considering auto da fe before I listened to them. I'll go and do something else.

I've enjoyed the tracks in round three much more than round two.
Anyway with the cup I'm not looking for stuff which matches my personal taste or introduces me to a great new track, although it's great when that happens, so much as just varied and different stuff for me to write about and respond to. It's sometimes as interesting to say why you dislike something as it is to say why you liked it.

Yeah, in my case more entertaining, too. But having to listen to them in order to fathom the depths of my contempt - sometimes that's hard.

The selections keep getting better. This will be a fun round to watch. Glad I already got my votes in.

Quite a nice fourth round. I think I've fallen in love with Eliza Carthy.

Needs more Marty Cuthbert. Fortunately, there's a a dozen or more albums, and several one-off projects, EPs and singles, to catch up on.
