A is a very minor Lee Perry track.
B is nice, much better than that awful Arthur Russell song in Round 1 led my to expect.

A doesn't exactly do a lot, does it? It feels like library music, something that would've been backing music on late-night Teletext. It's inoffensive, and you can take that as a positive or a negative. Hard to comment on something so barely-there.
B is probably the poppiest thing Arthur ever recorded, and against a better track I could've voted against it on grounds of obviousness. It's an absolute beauty, easily the best song of the round. A floaty, oddly phrased and meandering thing, yet so catchy, a piece of heaven brought down to earth so us mortals can stroke our chins and write absolute bollocks about it on a messageboard thing.

A is such a sweet mellow groove isn't it, but B has grown in me in the last couple of days. In those moments when the bloke stops singing, thankfully, the little choppy notes and changes started to really hook into my brain and reveal an interesting tune. Thanks for the discovery, picker.

Upsetters
Rinky Dinky. Sometimes boring.
Arthur
As smeared as primo Martyn. Naive in the Busy Doin’ Nothin’ style (doesn’t touch the heights of that of course).

Don't dislike either, but by the same token, didn't really engage with either, either. And they are so different, I can't compare them on any other metric other than how much I was moved by them: which is 'not at all', in both cases. No vote.

I’m really struggling with many of the picks in this round, so this tie is a relief as I like both artists, especially the first. A is fine but it’s not the most compelling track by the Upsetters, and as such is open to serious competition from B. And yes - ooh I know this one – it’s
