A has either the wrong track, or the wrong title, G.

I've been watching a lot of Wes Anderson movies so I've gotta go with Timi Yuro. can't you just see the Owen Brother of your choice opening a bottle of champagne graveside for a beauty with alabaster skin?
I can. B

The Jones Girls - serviceable disco, but it ain't giving me no earthquakes, as Henry Kissinger once said
I remember reading a list of Morrissey's fave artists many many moons ago and Timi Yuro featured - first time I'd heard of her. I don't think I've heard anything since then - until now. It's making my feet spin, as I think Bobby Ball used to shout

B is something I should like, but I prefer A. You can't fake the funk.
And dance songs get short shrift here.

A is fine, but it's slightly on the wrong side of the 'more electronics' line.
B is freaking awesome, and should be something I'm sick of hearing but isn't.

A is no great shakes but even the cup's strongest picks would have struggled against TY. this is going to be as one-sided a tie as we've seen so far.

A is quite a nice track and got my ass moving on my chair. But B is a strong candidate for the best thing ever played in a Cup. Sorry for A but losing this tie is almost a badge of honour.

Both of these are more about the production, arrangement and vocal performance than the serviceable songs. Much closer for me than the comments suggest, although I guess that shows how much more early r n'b is prized over late period disco. Personally I like B, but love A. A has a really great groove and the vocals drive the thing along with a really infectious energy.

I think G has pretty much summed up my feelings on this one. Good match, but A by half a length.

I'm sure no-one has been losing sleep worrying about my vote in this, but I say A!

A's a pretty standard disco track, really hard to get excited about, but it has some kind of energy about it. From hatz' comment I thought it was going to be Autechre or something. I know I won't remember anything about this the moment it stops.
And B is being hailed as the second coming, and has a label-still image, so there's no doubt about how disappointing it's going to be. Would be fine on The Dirty Dancing soundtrack.
Damp squibs to start off the final. I guess B is just about more acceptable.

I’ve never voted in a cup here or at the other place, but here goes -
A is not funk, it’s disco and not great disco at that. B is B.

Actually having a hard time deciding. A features some great singing. The playing is fantastic, the production a bit over-egged. There really isn’t much of a song here, but that’s endemic to the genre.
B is the much-loved Timi Yuro flawlessly singing a pretty perfunctory song. The track is standard-issue great.
Ultimately the only thing that really separates these is which genre you prefer. In my case, that pushes me to B.
