Digitally I'm playing Ganz Schon Clever on my phone and Civ6 on the tablet. Have to say I'm disappointed by the latter - it doesn't seem to be the quantum leap from 5. The former is a cute dice game that is utterly addictive in trying to get the highest score possible.
Boardgaming wise I just purchased Quartermaster General 1914, which is a brilliant take on WW1 with 5 players and a deck of cards. Exceptional stuff.

The evening began at the gentleman's club where we were discussing Wittgenstein over a game of backgammon.

I just completed chapter 6 of Red Dead Redemption 2. There's still loads I haven't done but I think I got to a point where I finally wanted to get the story done before I got bored with the game, which might have happened had I spent more time fishing and looking for cigarette cards. But now there's the epilogue, which will probably take another month, and which opens up a whole area I've not yet even set foot in. And rumour has it there will be DLC that has some connection to the original Red Dead Redemption: a remaster or something linking the two games...

I love RDR2 but I've held off finishing Chapter 6 and went back and started again. There is so much of it to explore and I felt that my first run through didn't do it justice. It is a hugely impressive game but I was a bit disappointed that it isn't harder. The missions are generally quite straightforward and don't take many attempts to complete. I'm sure that they will DLC the shit out of it. I hope they do.

I've been going back to Total War: Medieval and TW: Empire on my PC over the last couple of weeks. Hadn't played TW:M for years, I've really enjoyed getting back into it.

Is it a pisstake? You're stuck in a small kitchen and that's it? I can't see it challenging GTA!

Fair enough, but the description made me laugh "overcast sky, shabby staircase, tiny kitchen.."
I mean I can get that at home for free!

I'm going to pick that up when it's cheap. Looks a lot of fun and exactly my era (5th BCE Athens).

I miss Football Manager sometimes.
That game took up far too much of my life though.
But what memories!
