The two best tracks* from this excellent MOJO freebie comp: but YOU can only choose ONE! * I mean, these are REALLY fine tracks. Seriously. None of yer crud, none of yer pretentious Japanese noiseniks or dreary US alt-folk

Interesting poll results. Would never have thought this would be a draw. Well well.

I voted for LSD. As one does.
By-and-large, I think most 60s 'Bowie in a band' is pretty typical. That's probably the most notable exception, but if it wasn't Bowie and it was on a Freakbeat comp, I think the reaction would be 'nice' rather than 'woah!'

CHTAM for me.
I didn't know it untill many years ago I got the VH1 story tellers of Bowie, on which there is a fantastic version of the song. Starts at 1.15 but also the talking before is very entertaining.

Both songs are absolute classics and I can't choose.

I've gone into this stuff deep and this is a real stand out track.

Yeah, there's a boldness there that wasn't really typical of his other material of that time. And of course it's a very strong track with a memorable, punchy chorus.

You're always going on about that track. It's a very good track, more for its manic sound than anything else, but these two have more about them.
