I like the Psychedelic Furs, but I'd like to get the person who picked this cover in a room with a glaring lit bulb, card table and uneven folding chair and ask, "Why in hell did you pick this out of all the Psychedelic Furs' songs?" I hope he doesn't make bail after my interrogation.

A invents trip hop twenty years before it actually happened. Beautifully spacious arrangement and a real sensual trip. A delight. I like The Furs, but this is as lumpen and uninspired cover as you'll hear. More vile than Weill. They're so unsuited for the song.

A is Pleasant enough and B is just confounding..I can dig a few Furs songs here and there, but this cover really doesn't do it for me..Vote A

i've never got the appeal of 'the psychedelic furs'. third-rate new wave shite.
i enjoyed A. it fitted my current mood. relaxing after my morning run while sipping some gazpacho for breakfast.

A is a really soporific Bond song, God knows what was slipped into Shirley Bassey's pint of martini before this. A slop of a song.
The Psychedelic Furs have always been a kind of workmanlike band, a post-punk band who took all the invention and excitement and locked it safely away in a cupboard. But this isn't too bad, it's brighter than their usual tack, and does something different with the hoary old standard.

A was enchanting.
B was even worse than Popol Vuh. Who chooses this shit?

I don't think B is as bad as most are making it out to be. It so barely resembles any other version of the tune that it's easy enough to pretend it could be an original.
That said, I quite enjoyed A's sultry grooves and the singer has a lovely voice.

Yeah, i pretty much agree with Colin above. B is different but not in a totally terrible way, and if it has Harry Connick Jnr turning in his grave all the better. But A is pretty great, right in my WHEELHOUSE.

I like A a lot and could probably enjoy it a lot with some nice visuals behind it. But listening to it on its own it's a bit lugubrious.
B is not wholly successful, but it's a ballsy pick. And if nothing else it's a reminder how underrated both the band's guitar players are.

I don't dislike A, but the moody soundtrack shtick isn't working on me.
First time I heard this Furs b-side, only knew Richard Butler's take on Weill's Alabama Song. I think it's amazing.

A. No contest. B was grim. But there’s a lot going in it. Several layers, and studio tricks etc Just the end result is unpleasant, in a bad way.
