I like both of these! They are good, individual choices, showing a personality, and i'm all for that. B is the one i'm more likely to play these days though. BHippy!

I can't hear enough in either of these to put a vote down on one of them, sorry. Abstain.
I've changed my mind. Vote A, the outro is kind of cool.

Unlike many fellow preludiners I do love The Pixies and was ready to vote for them. Did not recall this track though, and for good reason. It is pretty forgettable, and as others have said, far from a track I would have chosen from them. I reckon that the search for staying away from the obvious went too far.
That PP Arnold track was rather generic, but it's simply a better song.

I've never heard anything by the pixies before even though I'm aware that they were quite big at one time but on that showing, I'm not sure that I want to hear them again.I know and like pp Arnold's work but not all of it a n certainly not this. If you think you're groovy, would have been a better choice.

Pixies
Will-this-do filler, without a song to hang them on the constituent parts (the scream, the plodding bass, Deal’s coo-ing) just lie there. Not good. Full marks for the worst drumming in the cup so far. Spoiler alert: this changes later on when I hear The Radiators From Space.
PP
The busy arrangement does all it can to capsize PP’s adequate vox. Wins here THO.

Two artists I spent money on, and listened to, in their respective time, but those times are past. A Fat bald bloke's voice is just annoying to me now, although Joey's guitar abuse isn't bad, and at least this one doesn't go into that quiet/loud cliche they more or less invented, or at least popularized. Migraine drums don't help. Inconsequential. 4 / 10
PP did her best up-tempo work in the Ikettes, and she doesn't have the Tina-style to carry off this sort of thing - much better at ballad stylings. Arrangement is way too busy, too. Disappointing. 3.5/10

People who don't like A should be abducted by aliens.
B isn't a particularly distinguished PP Arnold track is it? In fact it's not a particularly distinguished track at all.
