Big fan, skope, but I think my neighbors prefer this one, for their shronkage per dollar value: (Phil Sawyer laid down some great Beckian, pre Hendrix sonics, all done with volume and spacing oneself in front of overdriven amp, no stompboxes) but alas we are amongst the few who care play it loud

i listened to an interview with les fleur de lys drummer the other day.
he and the bass player shared a flat with hendrix and jammed with him at the speakeasy. apparently their version of 'circles' was very much off the cuff and they came up with their arrangement only 24 hours before the recording session.
they were also the UK house band for atlantic records.
