... and that was Bryan Adams letting us know what's worth fighting for. We have a text here, Shirley from Crabtree is loving the tunes while she trims her bush in the sunshine. You guys are crazy. You're listening to Steve Wright in the afternoon, and coming up is more chat with Holly Willoughby about her upcoming series 'Lucid Cat Dreams', but first, it's Don Henley with Bo... Click. Danielle Dax is one of the all-time greats on the basis of Jesus Egg That Wept and Pop-Eyes alone, and while I still love Inky Bloaters, this album was definitely a step in the direction that would ultimately end in her unsuccessful full-tilt run at pop mainstream mega-stardom. B obvs. Love the Big Daddy reference, but unfortunately for you ( I am assuming the Dax is yours…), the Henley track is STILL great. I’ve always enjoyed it, without any Eagles baggage. A You assume wrongly. I probably wouldn't have gone from this album, and if I did, Fizzing Human Bomb would be the big pop number I'd risk.

I don't remember having heard this before, which doesn't mean I haven't been in the room when it's playing...Pretty guitar on the intro, but those drums were annoying throughout. And I'm not sure if it's an issue with this track in particular, or youtube in general, but the sound is jerky and the video is out of sync. Nice appropriation of seagull cries. No idea what it's about, but the title suggests nostalgia and the music anything but. Abrupt ending, too.
sort of flirted with listening to her stuff back in the day, but never liked it much. This is jerky, too, so a probem with youtube... Is that a real banjo, or is she just pleased to see me. Decent whistling. Underwhelmed by both, but B

Nothing to say here. B is daft, amateur shit and not in a loveable way.

I really don't mind A, it's a good song IMO, but I simply can't abide the heavy-on-the-synths eighties production.
And I'm another big fan of Ms. Dax, so B, easy.

I also have some fondness for A. I'm sure it's overplayed on Radio 2 but I never listen to music radio anyway.
I've not listened to much DD at all so I don't know how representative this is but it sounds like a second rate Kirsty McColl track.

Don
I’m sure I’ve sang it’s praises many times before.
Dan
Not too bad. A girl once made me a tape with this on one side and Bongwater on the other. Never listened to it. My abiding memory is of her pressing some chopped up courgettes between two plates so as to rid em of any excess water prior to cooking. Some kind of Ragu as I recall. Moseley 1995.

If you ever talk to her again, let her know that sprinkling salt on the sliced courgette and letting it sit for an hour or so will draw the water out of it much more effectively than pressing it will.

I think she did that too. Crazy times.
