B by virtue of the vocal. otherwise, neither does much for me.

A is definitely not for me. B isn't what I would put on when I want to hear Bowie, but it's good enough here.

Is this contest over yet? My god, if I have to sit through more dull-as-dishwater tunes like this I might just delete my account here and join a board where people actually LIKE music.
I don't hate all modern rock like a lot here seem to, but for god's sake at least give me a fucking HOOK to grab onto.
I dunno, both of these tunes piss me off. I think I'll abstain for the first time.

90s Bowie is BORING! Thank god he managed a couple good records before he left us. Wish A was something a bit easier to get excited about, but I don't have Bowie Goggles.

A marriage of Gwen Stefani and Tacocat v. the dull side of Bowie...If you had to choose Bowie, why this one ? If you had to pluck from the period, why Hours ? Heathen, Outside and Earthling have far more engaging songs...That said, can't reward copycat pop punk..Reluctantly , Vote B for Bowie's vocal alone..(I may revisit this in a couple of days..)

Hmmm...soporific lumpen 22yr Bowie, or something now/new where women aren't relegated to being background singers.

Don't know what to do with this. Really dull picks, so dull that they're not even offensive enough to generate abuse from yours truly.
I'll give a yawning B

A wasn't terrible, but there was something clichéd and oddly lifeless about it. It was striking all the right attitudinal poses, but there was no substance there, nothing to really engage. It reminded me of a Garbage record who suffered from much the same thing. B is Dave Bowie isn't it? The solid reliable bloke who always has a joke and will help you fix your plumbing. All very tasteful, all very Uncut playlist, the kind of thing I can imagine David Hepworth loving.
Dunno, but just for making a mess of finding a less obvious nugget from DB's catalogue, I'll give this to A

I'm not sure... neither is really lighting my fires, tbh. Maybe B.

A is ok in a Shampoo kinda way, isn't it? I get it's fairly generic, but it's a bright and brash enough modern teenage take on post-punk. Wouldn't write home about it, but it's ok.
B would get a right kicking if it didn't have the Bowie name attached. Sounds like a Texas B-side.

Fuck me - talk about bringing down your idols! this is EXTRAORDINARY! Come on, Bowie brought himself down here. Even Stereophonics might've turned this one down for being a bit boring.

It's not a bad song but why the LIVE version was chosen (where he's quite clearly nothing of the sort) I have no idea
