I’ve lately discovered Belgian woodcut artist Frans Masereel and have been delving around online looking for things by and to do with him, as one does.
It’s based on Masereel’s wordless novel of the same name. With music by Arthur Honegger, who plays an absolute blinder on the ondes Martenot – according to Wikipedia it’s the earliest use of electronic music in a film.

I find this interview fascinating. I'm not usually into these kind of videos where old villains boast about their exploits. However there is something compelling about the way this guy ( he's a guy called Jimmy Holmes, who later wrote a fictional account of his criminal career called 'Judas Pig') describes the most terrible deeds. It's pretty rare to hear a major gangster talk so openly. It's like lifting up a rock and looking at the turmoil underneath. Yes, that's interesting. Fascinating to see that an obviously clear headed individual is capable to switch off completely to do all the things he claims to have done.

Adverts, it's full of adverts. I have adblock and have never seen an advertisement on youtube. It's free.
I don't understand why everybody doesn't use it.

Anyone ever watch any of the ghosthunters that pepper you tube? They have apps on their phone that allows the dead to talk to them and a box with flashing lights that picks up any random spirit. They have all been to pretty much the same places with 'something' happening nearly every show.
Here's the thing. When they actually do claim that there definitely is a 'presence there, inevitability they run away screaming in the night. I suppose they go fishing and run away when they hook one.

Strange coincidence, watched a John peel documentary and a few other beefheart performances yesterday.
