Series 2 has just started. I enjoyed season 1 and whizzed through it.
Any fans?

Yeah, we liked season 1, haven't started the second one yet though.
We meant to give it a whirl tonight, but got sidetracked bingeing on the new Ricky Gervais series, After Life, which I liked an awful lot.
I think they have a few things in common, Fleabag and After Life. Not least a main character who is acerbic, angry, cynical and depressive, yet genuinely interesting and watchable.

Watched the first two today. I dunno. It's pretty enjoyable, and it's impressive Phoebe Whatserface wrote and acted (and directed?) the whole thing, but so far there've been too many moments where I've thought 'nobody would EVER say/do that' (a lot of what her sister says). It took me a while to get used to the breaking-the-fourth-wall thing too, but it's done well.
And of course all the men (her Dad, her exes, people who talk to her on buses) are bastards.
I think I'll stick with it, anyway. It's better than that Gervais monstrosity.

She's lovely.
I thought the "don't touch my miscarriage" line was wonderfully dark.

No, me neither.
Just finished the first series. I definitely fell for her a bit, and I think it's one hell of a performance. She's a huge talent. The supporting cast is excellent, too - I especially enjoyed seeing Bill Paterson playing her dad, he was perfect in the role.
I still think some of the basic ideas were ridiculous - the fourth show where she goes on retreat with her sis was just silly altogether, a kind of Comic Strip Presents idea of what those places are like, with that woman playing the strict activities guide and all that. And the 'Sexhibition' at the end was daft.
I want to see that fella with the buck teeth in the next series but I think he's out. He was a joy.

She has something. I have a bit of a thing for her.
In interviews she seems like a lark.

Anyway - I don't know whether it's supposed to make you laugh much, really. That sort of thing doesn't happen much in modern comedies 'cos writers want to be all dark and interesting.I started season 2 last night THANKS FOR THE SPOILER TOBY and it's good stuff. Lots of her dad in there. Her dad's great. Isn't he? Don't you think her dad's great in this? It's nice to get some agreement now and again
