About what can (or does) possibly exist outside of our immediate sphere, I think we are still very limited by believing only what we can see. If you can't see it, it ain't there. If you're the odd one "seeing" it, then you're obviously nuts. I believe there is most certainly intelligent life "out there" but that the chance of us actually encountering whatever it is is practically non-existent. In practical terms, if that is correct, then we are totally in charge of our own destiny. Now I'm off to Tesc.....oh wait, we don't have those around here in the New World.

The older I get the more I think "intelligent life" on earth is pretty fucking limited too.

We're slowly becoming intelligent enough to understand how utterly stupid we are ultimately.

Great scene in great movie. My favorite scene - for gawd's sake Alvy, even Freud speaks of a latency period.

The Permian/Triassic extinction was far more impactful than anything we are likely to witness. Did science teach you that ?

His point was similar to Toby's so he was placing her in a historical context and I found that interesting. The teenage saint warning society of the upcoming apocalypse...that sorta thing. BURN HER !!!! ( Using the smallest carbon footprint possible of course)

He's basically the Fast Show "Brilliant" character with a degree. very kind eyes. He always has worryingly wet lips though. And his hair looks like a cheap nylon wig, kind of thing you'd find in the middle aisle in Aldi for 89p. Seems like a decent bloke though.
