Don't think I've ever listened to one and I have no appetite for any. Doesnt feel like that's about to change any time soon.

Why do they annoy you so much?

Why do they annoy you so much? And could you record your thoughts, perhaps in conversation with G, and leave a link to it here?

They used to be called radio shows. There's a fair bit of crossover nowadays. Cath really likes John Robins & Elis James's Radio 5 show, and I think they still tend to refer to it as a podcast, it possibly started out as one. I like Geoff Norcott's 'What Most People Think', and the one about WWII that the historian James Holland does with Al Murray. Minnie & Baron's 'John & Mary Show' is great too.

Thing is nick. It is still basically turning the knob on your wireless to listen. Except now it creates a never ending groundhog Day. I am yet to find one I can tolerate. I much prefer the Macdonald's of information , you tube.

Anna lets the side down there, too much landfill indie type stuff.

I would not argue.
But for god's sake don't tell her I said that.

I listen to podcasts while I'm walking instead of music these days. Mostly.
The ones I listen to most are Talking Sopranos, The Smartless podcast with Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Sean Hayes. I also listen to a real ghost stories one, an NBA/black culture podcast with two former NBA players, another with Charles Barkley and Ernie Johnson, a primetime NBA analysis and commentary team, and Record Store Day, which I've mentioned. Those are on regular rotation.
There are a few others I listen to infrequently, a couple tech and business oriented ones and a Disney one. But I have others in my library.
