Clean your records. Do you use a cloth or solution. Are you one of those dirty bastards that picks the fluff from your cartridge betwixt forefinger and thumb? Do you clean your LP covers and do you repair split sleeves ( where the glue has dried) if so what product do you use to reset the seam. Any tips or tricks?

I've only ever glued lp sleeves twice, and both times I've just used regular wood glue and then kept it pressed together under some weight for a few hours.
I don't have a record washer, but I'm thinking of getting one as the new amp and speakers I bought last year (year before??) have made the faults on my older albums that aren't in great shape much more noticeable - that's one thing I wasn't counting on when I bought the new gear, that's for sure. Any time I've had an lp that was really noticeably filthy I'd just use a damp rag with a touch of dishsoap on it and give a good scrubbing then rinse under the faucet while trying to keep the label from getting wet.
After typing all that I think I've just realised I should just buy a damn record cleaner.

And you thought home-baking was a low point?

And you thought home-baking was a low point? Yes, compared to looking after your collection. Being culinary "" is such an unappealing trait.

Never run a record in tap water, never. Toronto tap water is beautiful.
