I now have 2 dogs after I found a puppy in April. She was being attacked by 4 other dogs in a creek and almost dead. She's doing great now.
Other than that I went on a bunch of hikes, a camping trip and just tried to be chill.

Well, the latter half of the year was much better if I'm honest. First three months of the year I was in lockdown and it is very difficult in a small house to sit there doing little. Managed to get a job that I sincerely love (although early days I admit) and a subject I'm growing to like a lot, got a new bathroom (much needed), ate a lot of good food, my wife has lots of clients and my son is doing well at school. I don't really ask for much more.
The world is a bit crazy but turn off the phone and it's a lot simpler. I wish I'd read a few more books but such is life.

In the second half of 2020 I was in and out of hospital with something fairly major. Since the Spring of 2021 I have been getting better and better. To the point where I now feel a lot younger than my actual age. Bring it on I say.

Big transitional year for me and my family. I moved to Oregon as everyone knows, my daughter was finally able to physically attend college and my son moved to Alaska. My ex is all by herself for the first time in 30 years although my daughter regularly visits on the weekend.
I got a raise and my thorn or nemesis at the company I worked for was fired for not doing his job and I didn't even know he had it out for me, the duplicitous asshole. He had been my immediate supervisor for five years and I found out he'd try to let me go three times, but managers had saved me by pointing out my effectiveness and efficiency. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
I spent a lot of money on the move and I have to get that under control, but living in Oregon is much more economically feasible than California, even though I'm fourth generation on my dad's side. But San Francisco, which gives the Bay Area a lot of its personality, and the rest of the area, is seriously declining in lifestyle in lots of ways.

@toby I'm glad you found a job suitable for your undoubtedly many talents.
Sloop, I'm happy that the bastard was fired, though I hope he doesn't end up living on the streets of Eugene.
Souphound, I have this far been blessed with excellent health in my life. Wishing you all the best in your recovery.

I was hoping for a series of questions like we did in past years - 'favourite film', 'biggest disappointment', 'hopes for 2022', 'best TV' etc.
Dougie?

Sorry, I couldn't commit that much. Goes along with the being chill part of my little story.
But yes, more questions, please.
Fearless, lacrosse is ace. Wish they had that at my HS.

I played lacrosse back in the early 70s. My team went to the provincial games in the sport, where we got trounced left and right. Wonderful indeed. Of course, I'm from a metropolitan area where there was not that much competition, so, qualifying for those games was rather, let's just say, easy. It also helped that we had a player on the team who was an absolute star and went on to play professionally. He would usually score 6-8 goals per game for us.

A few minutes after I found my pup: Yesterday: I named her Lux, but call her Luxie.
