Have a great day everyone, wherever you are and whatever you're doing! Take care, and give a little love. Or maybe a lotta love, if you're lucky.

merry christmas, flange and everyone!
are you spending christmas in brissie, flange?
i'm up early as always for my morning run.
it was quite noisy last night, as there was what sounded like a BOTELLÓN of at least 10 people a few blocks away. lots of screaming and shouting.
we're going to have a quiet christmas day. LA SUEGRA is being visited by my unvaccinated CUÑADO and partner, so we opted to give it a miss due to not having had the booster yet. i'm relieved but had to feign disappointment.
i'll be making a VEGAN paella consisting of artichokes, aubergines, green beans and most importantly GARRAFÓNS. i'm keeping my fingers-crossed that i successfully manage to achieve a decent SOCARRAT.
after dinner i'm looking forward to watching the bbc ghost story for christmas from last night with a glass or two of fine rioja.
hopefully, one of the admin team will be along soon to delete the two rogue accounts created overnight to cap a perfect day.
*update* ol' ma skope was due to go to my sister's today, but her partner's sister went round last night and took a positive test (my sister has testing kits because of her job), so it looks like she'll be spending it alone...

Oh, that sucks for your mum, skopey. Hope you have a good evening, and enjoy your eats. I am indeed spending my day here in Brisvegas, having a quiet immediate family day. My dad and sis are down in Melb. but everthing is so up in the air at the moment that traveling will just have to wait a bit longer. Got some great birthday/xmas prezzies - a reissue of Big Star's #1 Record, Billy Connolly's autobiography, a Stooges Fun House T-shirt and a large Rick & Morty mug, amongst other things.

One of the strangest Christmases for me on record. Derek told me yesterday that he was going to call in sick to his job today because he had early shift and no ride. I told him to buy some pajamas for his landlord that he wanted and he'll get the ride. I also told him he's low man on totem pole and if he calls in sick, his manager who's away will have to scramble to find a replacement and his co-worker who covers for him will hate him since he or she already made plans.
He listened to me.
My ex and daughter were supposed to go over to my dad's old ladyfriend's place for Xmas Eve, but there was a Covid exposure, she no one was allowed in so they watched Animal House at my ex's condo.
I just sat around my place and watched The Sopranos.

Christ G.
I got 3 hours sleep as my son decided to get up at 11, 1 and then 3.
Wife put on an absolute spread and everything is fine. Currently eating pitchfork cheddar with quince and she's just brought in the trifle.

i'll be making a VEGAN paella consisting of artichokes, aubergines, green beans and most importantly GARRAFÓNS. i'm keeping my fingers-crossed that i successfully manage to achieve a decent SOCARRAT. an 8 of ten. slightly under-seasoned and a tad too much saffron. on the plus side, the rice was cooked to perfection and the socarrat WAS decent. i will learn from my mistakes.
