Do you try? Do you give a fuck? What does it mean to you and what do you do? What do you want to improve?
Or are you happy eating crisps and drinking beer on the couch?

I abhor complacency.
I want to get better at everything.
I don’t want to be on my deathbed thinking ‘you really should have tried harder’.
It makes it hard to relax sometimes because there’s always something I could doing to ‘get better’, whether it’s music, exercise, or maybe even something work-related.

To me, it's about habits more than anything else. If you can implement "positive habits", like, say, ensuring that you read for half an hour a day, or put your phone away after 7pm etc, then you might notice a long-term improvement.
I could be fitter than I am, and am also at the age where not doing something about it can be very problematic later on.

The less vices the better as far as health when you get older. And it is about habits. Last week, I didn't have a drop of booze and then went out and bought a pint of tequila on Saturday. After nearly a week of good sleep and healthy eating, it all went to hell in a day. Along with the good habits, you have to build a structure around them - almost any recovery program will tell you that. That's where I fall down, when I don't have structure. My work week is really structured, but I have more time on the weekends to get in trouble of my own making.

I pretty much only drink wine and eat meat at weekends. I have spirits during the holidays. I've not given up beer entirely, but I avoid buying it where possible.
My vice at the moment is bloody biscuits. That's the work environment more than anything else - there's always a packet of chocolate digestives on the table in the staff room.

Or are you happy eating crisps and drinking beer on the couch? Yes. Yes I am.
