You'd be happy to know John that Abby has decided that this is one of her favourite songs ever and demands to hear it whenever we "rock out" in the kitchen!

My jaw hit the floor when I heard this. Worse than the lowest common denominator. Music for Q followers.

I think C&W lyricists, overall, are pretty good, but recently I've noticed that they pander too much to stereotypes. The demographic must eat 'em up though because they're very popular. I looked up the songwriters - there are five of them and all Nashville production and songwriting pros who have written big hits for other artists. The Nashville machine.

More very generic than bad I'd say, just very typical of mid 70s rock. It's funny how Robert Palmer still had short hair and a dapper look, even when he was playing in a blues rock group!

More very generic than bad I'd say, just very typical of mid 70s rock. Musically, maybe, but the vocal - like a Barnsley Bette Midler at the end of the night - takes it very definitely into the 'oh God no' category.
