The lack of music discussion on here is appalling. Therefore, I will give it a much needed boost. First one: For JOHNNY Thank you Jimmy. There's a bit of Josef K there I think, a bit of ACR maybe. It's ok. I don't like the vocal. I'd pay to see them but would walk out after the third songe yes I'd walk out after the third songe

I like it J, but I'm going to leave this one for Ray because I think he'll have more interesting things to say about it.

Doesn't look as if Ray's participating right now.
Moving on what does FONZ think of this one from Luton's finest..

Someone sent out the bat signal! I love a bit of UK Decay, the album was a bit crap, but there is gold to be found in the singles. But I'm also not fonz. Always worth pointing out that they are effectively a national institution:

I won't nominate anyone because G decided to step in and nominate fonz.

I might have been interested in that 40 years ago, but probably not now. 40 years ago this was my thing. And they’re touring this stuff in November. I’ve got tickets- a rare night out for me… this one is for Markus

The B-side to For My Country has one of my favourites of theirs, Unwind. They managed to exist in that transitional time from dodgy '77 punk sound-alikes, and post-punk/goth, and that's exactly where there singles sit. Have a kind of nervous energy about them, creating something distinct without being particularly talented.

Might not be the best choice as he is yet to reappear following his (second) temporary suspension. I'd wait and see when/if he starts posting again before nominating him.

They did have quite a powerful sound and I briefly got into them, I even bought their follow up band Furyo (not many did!). In my head I always used to twin them with Wasted Youth.
