Hmmm, that Ballroom version of BPDG is quite incredible! "A bizarre blend of Psych and primitive Electronica/Krautrock" nails it. I've done some research... and must admit I'd never have connected this to Curt Boettcher!!

Love this, thanks! It has a feel of a certain other 60's band about it, but there's something unique going on. I think it might be the trousers. Seeing as he liked my last choice, this is for neige. Some more obscure Psych. The Tages-"Have You Seen Your Brother Lately"

Thanks, riggers! Great singing, cracking little tune and I love the rather unusual string arrangement... certainly the best Swedish sixties band I'm aware of.
Here's something I'm still obsessed with, a track from the latest album by the Belgians dEUS. And it's for... I dunno, whoever has anything (good I hope) to say about it!

The name dEUS was familiar, must have heard something from them back in the 90s, but had not heard about them since. The track is right my alley, I quite liked the build up of vocal layers, though I missed a more powerful melody to make it more memorable. In any case there's enough in the track to find worth checking their latest album.
Away from home right now, but I'll try to think about something to post.

So, still in Euro with guitars mode, I bring this Swedish band and propose it to Charlie O.

Okay, it didn’t take me that long.
I think they leaned on that main guitar riff WAY too much (I was genuinely relieved when they moved to the bridge section), but otherwise, I liked that quite a bit! I seem to recall loveless bigging these guys up in a BCB thread long ago, and I was impressed with what I heard there, but I still haven’t investigated further.
I’m stuck with just my phone at the moment, so won’t be able to post a new song before Tuesday evening at the earliest…

Thanks very much, Charlie! I'd actually heard that before, I think on some psych collection. It's fantastic, just my kind of noise. A little restrained, especially the vocal, but that gives it a nicely sinister feel.
I'll post something for someone later today.
